EPIC Analyst

Rush Copley Medical Center is seeking an EPIC Analyst responsible for examining and evaluating reporting requirements across various business units. The role involves developing reporting structures, generating reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective communication of findings and solutions.

Responsibilities

Prepare, validate, schedule, and deliver reports and data extracts
Communicate reporting changes, enhancements, and modifications—verbally or through written documentation—to management and other employees to ensure issues and solutions are understood
Follow up with customers before, during, and after implementation
Define and document user requirements
With minimal or no supervision, facilitate meetings between business stakeholders, technical resources, and third parties to determine business requirements and technical solutions
Utilize a variety of Epic analytical tools, including SlicerDicer filters/sessions, Radar dashboards/components, and custom SQL metrics

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Clinical, or a related field required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar role, including EPIC reporting
Strong SQL skills, with proficiency in writing complex queries, stored procedures, and scripts
Experience working with EPIC Systems databases (Clarity and/or Caboodle)
Current Epic certification in Clarity or Caboodle Data Models
Knowledge of business intelligence tools and platforms, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities

Preferred

Experience in a hospital setting preferred
