SC Fin Asst Analyst

PepsiCo is a leading global food and beverage company, and they are seeking a SC Fin Asst Analyst to join their Copack Accounting team. This role is primarily responsible for cost accounting activities of 3rd party producers, focusing on inventory accuracy, period end close reporting, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

Provides key variance analysis and explanations to management and Contract Manufacturing Managers for multiple locations
Develop forecasts for manufacturing variances during period and annual budget updates
Work within SAP to reconcile production, usage, receipts, and shipments
Daily activities include working with Shared Services to resolve discrepancies related to raw material receipts, invoice payments, and shipments related to Copackers
Position manages the daily and period-end accounting process for multiple business units within the 3rd party Co-packers, Re-packers, and Distribution Center network
Period inventory reconciliations and annual physical inventory observation
Close working relationships with Contract Manufacturing Managers on results, and trouble-shooting issues pertaining to co-packers
Process weekly tolling payments, invoices, and assist the co-packer in applying the cash payments
Work closely with the Product Costing team with building Bill of Materials, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) deliverables, and ad-hoc requests
Control owner for periodic, quarterly, and annual SOX and Accounting controls

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Entry level position; 0-2 years relevant work experience
Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel needed
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong self-starter and positive team player
Ability to interact with varying levels of individuals across multiple functions
