LCRA is seeking a motivated and technical individual to join their Telecom team as a Systems Administrator. The role involves taking ownership of a critical OSS application and its associated hardware, developing robust solutions, and ensuring system performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

Monitor, test, debug, and maintain system (App, OS, DB, HW) for peak performance and availability

Schedule testing, perform system patch and upgrades

Provide technical assistance and training

Develop and maintain code to enhance system performance and data output

Qualification

UNIX/Windows administrationOracle database managementWindows OS (2019+)Network design softwareSoftware developmentTechnical assistanceTroubleshootingSystem monitoring

Required

Six or more years of experience in systems development, installation, administration and maintenance in a UNIX/Windows environment, or other relevant experience, including two or more years in supporting high availability systems

A degree(s) in software engineering, computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience

Preferred

Experience with Windows OS (2019 and newer)

Experience with operation and maintenance of Oracle database (12c-19c)

Familiarity with AutoDesk Rivit, Bentley MicroStation, or other network design/modeling software

Skilled in software development

Experience using Network and/or Telecom hardware
