Responsibilities

Deputy PM serves as the point of contact in the absence of the Program Manager and represent the team in status meetings, briefings, and reviews

Part of team managing a complex, multi-disciplinary Program with the FAA

Collaborates with the Program Manager to ensure contractual compliance, schedule adherence, and timely delivery of services and deliverables

Assists the Program Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations

In the absence of the PM, the DPM shall be available to the customer and available during business hours

Plans, manages, controls, and executes events under the program scope’s life cycle to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements and program objectives

Manage status reports including weekly report to FAA on Program Activities

Manage program scope’s risks, issues, and dependencies through proactive identification, mitigation, and communication

Required

3-5 years program management experience, additional functional experience outside of program management (want someone who has relevant functional experience as well as program management experience)

Technical program management experience required- will be PM for Engineering activities

Ability to work with technical team to ensure team stays on track and meets deliverable dates

Experience with FAA programs and/or radio/voice switch technologies

Experience managing/contributing to the management of large scale program efforts inclusive of software development, engineering development, production, fielding activities

Experience managing budgets, quality, and schedule for specific program scope, to meet programmatic deliverables

Excellent customer communications

Ability to work with a matrixed team geographically separated

EVMS experience required

Experience establishing cost and performance baseline

Cost and Schedule forecasting

Experience with variance analysis and reporting

Experience with CDRL Management and meeting deliverable milestones

Experience with FAR/ AMS contracting requirements

Experience presenting to Senior Leadership, Customers

Experience managing subcontractors, from SOW and RFP authorship through post-award execution and delivery
