Mid LevelThe University of Virginia is seeking a Research Scientist for their Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to focus on machine learning methods for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The role involves developing novel algorithms, publishing results, and mentoring students within the Computational Biomedical Imaging Group.

Develop novel theory, algorithms, and demonstrate its application to MR imaging
Publish results in high-impact journals
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students
Qualification
Required
A Ph.D. or a Master's degree with significant experience in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or applied math is required by the start date
Experience in signal processing, machine learning, and MRI is needed
Candidates with experience in high-resolution brain relaxometry, free-breathing cardiac MRI, and MR spectroscopic imaging using machine learning are encouraged to apply
Preferred
PhD degree is preferred
