Responsibilities
Teaching four courses per semester, split evenly between WSGS and the Department of Biology
Courses taught within WSGS could include Introduction to WSGS from a Global Perspective and Contemporary Issues in WSGS, as well as upper-level courses within the candidate’s area of expertise
Courses taught within Biology could include General Biology lecture and lab sections as well as upper-level courses within the candidate’s area of expertise
Engaging in professional development activities as well as service at the department level or above
Qualification
Required
The candidate will have a PhD in biology or a closely related field at the time of appointment
Candidates for the position must demonstrate clear potential for excellence in teaching and student mentorship
The candidate must be willing to support the mission of Loyola University Chicago and the goals of a Jesuit, Catholic education
