Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a talented and multi-disciplinary team delivering substation physical and protection & control designs for utilities and EPC partners
Provide strategic oversight for project resources, budgets, and client relationships
Guide engineers through complex transmission and distribution projects
Manage resources, performance, and development for a growing national substation group
Review and approve design packages, drawings, and specifications for technical excellence
Partner with leadership on business development and recruiting initiatives
Champion a culture of learning, innovation, collaboration and inclusion across the team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering
an active PE license
15+ years of experience in substation design or power systems engineering
4+ years in leadership
Deep understanding of high-voltage substation design
Deep understanding of protection & control systems
Deep understanding of applicable industry standards
A passion for mentorship, innovation, and collaborative leadership
Confident communicator, mentor, and team builder with excellent organizational skills
Preferred
PMP is a plus
