Responsibilities

Conducting cost-benefit analyses for potential decisions
Evaluating the financial impact of new healthcare initiatives
Participating in financial audits to ensure compliance accuracy
Driving data-driven decision-making across our health system
Providing detailed data and data analysis to administrators for critical decision making
Shaping the organization’s success to support financial responsibility across the organization
Developing skills of department leadership to promote adherence to financial goals
Conducting detailed cost analyses of healthcare services and procedures
Collaborating with finance teams and heads to develop accurate budgets for healthcare services
Involved in forecasting future costs and financial performance based on historical data and expected changes
Monitoring and analyzing deviations between budgeted and actual costs
Preparing and presenting financial reports, summaries, and performance metrics
Collaborating with various stakeholders to understand their data needs
Analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization
Preparing comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across databases and reporting systems
Developing and maintaining standardized reporting templates and financial models
Monitoring and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
Identifying opportunities to financial and support processes
Collaborating with IT teams to enhance data collection, integration, and capabilities
Serving as the go-to financial expert for specific departments
Working closely with department managers to develop and maintain departmental budgets
Conducting financial analyses, variance analysis, and identifying areas for financial improvement
Providing ongoing financial training, support, and guidance to managers
Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in data analytics and financial management
Continuously expanding expertise in healthcare operations and financial reporting standards
Performing other duties as defined including project management
Managing training and application of financial tools
Supervision of one or more Financial Operations Analysts
Regular and prompt attendance
Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business admin, health informatics, or a related field
Three years of progressively responsible accounting, financial analysis or project management or related experience

Preferred

Experience in data analysis, decision support, and financial analysis in a healthcare setting
Master's degree in a related field
