Responsibilities

Investigate fraud cases involving identity misrepresentation, multi-accounting, collusion, GPS spoofing, and other platform abuses
Conduct OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) research to uncover external fraud signals and validate suspicious identities
Review ID verification sessions for signs of tampering, biometric spoofing, or fake documentation
Analyze large datasets using Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and optionally SQL to detect fraud patterns and device linkages
Create clear, data-backed investigative reports and present findings via PowerPoint and dashboards
Collaborate with Product, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Engineering to recommend fraud prevention improvements
Influence fraud policy and strategy by identifying emerging threats and gaps in identity controls
Independently prioritize and execute investigations in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, escalating risks as needed

Required

2+ years of experience in fraud investigations, trust & safety, risk operations, or identity verification—especially within gig platforms, marketplaces, or fintech
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Understanding and familiarity of AI
Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large datasets; SQL knowledge is a plus
Familiarity with ID verification workflows, document forensics, biometric/liveness checks, and device fingerprinting
Ability to translate business needs into actionable strategies and tools
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
A growth mindset and adaptability to change and digital transformation
Excellent communication skills and experience presenting findings to cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field OR 2 years' experience in operations, project management, or related area

Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field
