Lodge Development Specialist

Masons of California is a historic organization serving over 37,000 members across the state. The New Lodge Development Specialist will support the formation of new lodges by providing hands-on assistance, facilitating workshops, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on support to emerging lodges in the assigned region throughout the formation process
Facilitate planning meetings and workshops both virtually and in person
Guide and monitor the successful creation of 5-10 new lodges annually
Serve as a resource and motivator for members, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and practices
Collaborate with the New Lodge Development Manager to track progress and address challenges in lodge development
Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing membership organizations
Represent the Grand Lodge of California with professionalism and integrity at all times

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Current membership in good standing as a Master Mason (Past Master preferred)
Experience in project management, volunteer engagement, or organizational development
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present confidently in both virtual and in-person settings
Familiarity with laws, rules, and regulations of membership organizations to ensure compliance and best practices in lodge formation
Proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Google Workspace tools
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend solutions
Relationship-building and networking skills with the ability to inspire and motivate volunteers
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a results-driven environment
Capable of exercising discretion and sound judgment in decision-making
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Willingness to travel frequently within assigned region
