Responsibilities

Lead technical design and engineering deliverables for substation automation projects

Configure and test SCADA systems, protective relays, and communication devices

Perform electrical testing using advanced tools like DOBLE and OMICRON

Coordinate project activities across design, production, and commissioning phases

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery

Engage with customers to optimize solutions and maintain high satisfaction

Support project managers with technical input for proposals and risk assessments

Drive continuous improvement and share best practices across teams

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

10+ years of experience in substation automation projects

Strong knowledge of SCADA, protection systems, and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, GOOSE)

Hands-on experience with electrical testing using DOBLE and OMICRON equipment

Familiarity with utility substation operations and standards

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
