Entry Level Structural Engineer
ATMI Precast is not your average construction company, and they are seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join their high-performing team. This role focuses on applying engineering principles to real-life structural design and construction applications, providing the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow technical skills.

Responsibilities
Prepare all work in accordance with approved office processes, formats, and standards
Perform engineering analyses and calculations under the direction of senior engineering staff
Assist with the design of precast components, connections, and 3D structural models
Prepare drawings, models, and supporting documentation in AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla
Conduct 3D finite element analysis and design under supervision
Participate in the development of in-house design templates, checklists, and standards
Review and verify drawings, calculations, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
Meet project deadlines and adhere to budgeted hours
Support project teams by coordinating with engineering, drafting, and production staff
Participate in external and internal training sessions and seminars to advance technical skills
Manage assigned tasks and assist in leading small project activities as a Task Leader
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Civil, or Structural Engineering required
Basic knowledge of structural analysis and design principles
Understanding of finite element analysis and modeling concepts
Familiarity with load analysis, including snow, seismic, and wind design
Basic knowledge of current building and material codes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Adobe/Bluebeam)
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or similar CAD/BIM software
Exposure to engineering software such as RAM, RISA, TEDDS, or equivalent
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical and construction documents
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Desire to learn new engineering tools and continuously improve technical skills
Able to work collaboratively in a team environment with diverse professionals
Able to work for extended periods at a computer and occasionally visit construction or plant sites
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
May be required to visit job sites and manufacturing plants with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, and dust
Office-based role with extended computer use
