Senior Institutional Portfolio Analyst

The Senior Institutional Portfolio Analyst is responsible for supporting advisory relationships, conducting in-depth analysis of client portfolios, and ensuring exceptional client experience through collaboration with internal and external parties.

Responsibilities

Defining and recommending to management as required model specifications or data collection methods; Perform reporting responsibilities including performance reconciliation, report review, and executive summaries at the manager and composite level
Researching, modeling, validating and implementing quantitative structured solutions (“Solutions”) for current, new or expanded markets; Perform asset allocation studies, manager searches, fee analysis, attribution, private capital implementation modeling, investment policy reviews, and any other analytics to meet client needs
Applying the Solutions to trading strategies, stock and financial market dynamics and equity trading system performance to inform the development of quantitative techniques; Preparation and coordination of rebalancing activities for clients including coordination with managers and custodians
Directly handle client activities as required with the guidance of Advisor where appropriate
Support client relationships for the consultant team and attend investment committee prep meetings and investment committee meetings (as appropriate)
Collaborate with the research team on manager due diligence, publications, and client-driven requests
Experienced level knowledge of FEG’s core analytical capabilities and model libraries using Solutions and advanced statistical, quantitative and economic techniques
Experienced level of understanding of FEG investment philosophy and recommended list of investment strategies; Provide input to the sector team and IC with respect to the various sector categories’ valuations and portfolio positioning and attend weekly research meetings
Attend investment manager meetings and weekly research meetings
Most likely achieve Level I of CFA or working towards other certification/investment expertise (MBA, CAIA)
Start to present small parts of client presentations (with Advisor approval)

Required

Bachelor's degree in finance or related field. For certain positions, we accept a high school diploma, GED, or National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
2-5 years' work experience in the investment industry or a similar field, preferably institutional-related
Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance
Experienced in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint with strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and high work ethic
Exemplary skills in learning new technology and applying analytical skills

Preferred

Most likely achieve Level I of CFA or working towards other certification/investment expertise (MBA, CAIA)
