Responsibilities

Collaborate and support business units to design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports that effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders

Partner with the data engineering team to integrate Power BI with various data sources, ensuring data accuracy and implementing necessary data transformations

Conduct in-depth data analysis to support business decisions, identify trends, and provide actionable insights and recommendations

Optimize Power BI dashboards for performance and usability, ensuring rapid load times and intuitive user experiences

Work closely with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Create and maintain documentation for developed Power BI dashboards, data models, and processes

Provide training and mentorship to junior developers and end-users on Power BI usage, best practices, and data visualization techniques

MUST BE US CITIZEN FOR GOVERNEMNT CLEARANCE OR CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS

Experience building dashboards and reports, business intelligence, and data analysis

Experience with data integration, semantic and dimension modeling, and DAX programming

Experience leveraging Microsoft power platform

Improving data processing speed by building SQL automations

Strong Understanding of data warehousing concepts

Strong Understanding of ETL/ELT processes

Strong Understanding of data security implementation

Strong Understanding of AWS S3, Databricks Lakehouse, Azure Data Lake, SQL server, oracle databases

Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, DAX programming, data modeling, and cloud integration

Advanced SQL skills and experience with data querying and manipulation

Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with databases

Collaborate with the data engineering team to develop and maintain ETL pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for front-end reporting in Power BI

Well-developed analytical & problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration

Excellent team player, able to work with virtual teams

Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality deliverables

Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal management supervision

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field

Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification

Experience with programming languages such as Python or R

Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services

Good experience in end-to-end implementation of data warehouse and data marts

Active DHS/CISA suitability - 1st priority

Any DHS badge + DoD Top Secret - 2nd choice

DoD Top Secret + willingness to obtain DHS/CISA suitability - 3rd choice (it can take 10-60 days to obtain suitability – work can only begin once suitability is fully adjudicated)
