Responsibilities
Troubleshoots and diagnoses complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems using both a laptop and telematics
Performs advanced Pump/HVAC/ Power Generator/Compressor and other repairs as assigned
Scopes Customers’/Project needs and provides solutions
Runs crew for generator/distribution/HVAC/DH setup
Manages repair and maintenance of all Profit Center equipment
Evaluates all equipment after repairs, maintenance and safety checks
Maintains service records and creates warranty claims
Performs rent ready inspections on Pump/Power/Compressors/Load Banks and HVAC equipment
Performs preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment
Installs flexible gas hoses on both propane and natural gas applications; performs proper and safe procedure to check gas connections
Documents projects to include daily notes, labor logs, progress reports, JSS, JSA, etc
Works with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in stock and rental equipment
Disposes of hazardous materials in a responsible and safe fashion
Adheres to all safety standards as prescribed by Sunbelt management
Available for on call emergency service as scheduled
Oversees shop repairs and leads other employees engaged in equipment repair and maintenance in the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager
Prepares employee work schedules and trains and assists other team members in the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager
Keeps track of rental inventory in the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager
Performs all of the duties of the Level 1 & 2 jobs
Other duties as assigned by the manager
Manages and repair and maintenance of all Profit Center equipment in absence of shop foreman or service manager
Qualification
Required
5-7 years of experience with repairing and maintaining Pump & Power equipment
EPA section 608 universal Certification required
Advanced understanding and repair of mechanical, electrical and diesel equipment, generators, HVAC and air compressors
Advanced understanding of refrigeration (EPA Certified)
Mastery of load bank repairs
Advanced understanding of electrical engines and controllers
Advanced operation of dehumidification equipment from CDI and munters
Has some factory diesel, generator, compressor, HVAC training
Has a high level of operational process/system aptitude
Able to read and understand electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic flow schematics
Excellent project management and customer service skills required
Able to produce hand drafted schematic modifications if needed
Preferred
Experience with and comprehension of VFDs, VSDs, soft starts, and 'across the line' motor starting
