They are seeking a Scientific Program Manager to oversee lab experimentation and data generation efforts, manage external research partners, and work closely with science and AI research teams to advance drug discovery initiatives.

Responsibilities
Oversee lab experimentation and data generation efforts at Chai
Help set the vision and execute scaling of Chai’s lab-in-the-loop data engine
Manage CRO and external research partners
Translate internal scientific goals into concrete, CRO-friendly instructions—assays, deliverables, success criteria
Keep SOWs, timelines, sample trackers, CRO contacts, and data up-to-date
Juggle many concurrent projects, adapt priorities quickly, and keep everyone in sync with tight feedback loops
Communicate highly technical information with internal & external audiences, up and down the org chart
Interpret and package up data
Qualification
Required
Proven record of designing & executing complex projects, while managing multi-party relationships
Translate internal scientific goals into concrete, CRO-friendly instructions—assays, deliverables, success criteria
Clear organization of workflows and know-how, including keeping SOWs, timelines, sample trackers, CRO contacts, and data up-to-date
Juggle many concurrent projects, adapt priorities quickly, and keep everyone in sync with tight feedback loops
Excellent at communicating highly technical information with internal & external audiences, up and down the org chart
Basic technical literacy in the work being outsourced. Ability to interpret and package up data is a huge bonus
MS equivalent industry experience in Biological Sciences, Protein Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field; PhD is a bonus
Comfortable working with scientific data (e.g., in spreadsheets and GraphPad Prism) and collaborating with Science team members
Exposure to design and characterization of traditional and next-generation biologics. Familiar with antibody design constructs, expression and purification campaigns, and binding is a plus
