Trailer and Dispatch Manager

Red White & Blue Thrift is seeking a Trailer and Dispatch Manager to oversee trailer scheduling, delivery, and dispatch operations across multiple regions. This role involves managing dispatch teams, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining trailer inventory visibility while aligning logistics with company goals.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of trailer scheduling, allocation, and movement across regions to ensure efficient utilization and timely deliveries
Manage dispatch operations across multiple locations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and professionalism in all donor and driver interactions
Supervise Lead Dispatchers and provide direction, training, and support to ensure efficient daily operations
Maintain visibility and reporting of trailer levels, locations, and condition across all markets
Collaborate with regional and local leadership to coordinate trailer needs for donation centers, retail stores, and outbound shipping
Analyze dispatch and trailer data to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and service improvement
Ensure compliance with all safety, DOT, and company standards in daily operations
Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and processes related to trailer management and dispatching
Attend leadership and operations meetings to align on priorities, performance, and planning
Represent the organization’s mission and service standards through effective leadership, communication, and professionalism

Required

Proven experience in trailer logistics, dispatch operations, or fleet management
Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-site or remote teams
Excellent organizational and communication abilities with a focus on operational execution
Proficiency in dispatch or fleet management software and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities
Flexibility in schedule to meet operational needs
High school diploma or GED required; additional education in logistics or transportation management preferred
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or dispatch station
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally to move office materials or assist with trailer inspections
Occasional exposure to warehouse or yard environments requiring walking on uneven surfaces or in varying weather conditions
Ability to travel between markets or dispatch centers as needed
Must maintain visual and auditory acuity to communicate effectively and review dispatch and trailer data accurately
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to dispatch centers, warehouses, and field locations as needed
