Responsibilities

Business Development: Prospect and cultivate new relationships with clients, identifying and educating prospective customers about HCI’s enterprise AV solutions and services
Sales Leadership: Lead the sales process from proposal development to closing, including crafting comprehensive scopes of work, managing project scope communication, and handling change order costs
Client Management: Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring strong partnerships are established and maintained before, during, and after the sales process. Oversee all aspects of customer accounts, including managing active accounts and fostering sales growth
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, project management, and field service teams to ensure high customer satisfaction and successful project delivery
Market Awareness: Build market awareness through networking, presentations, event attendance, and participation in industry associations
Sales Reporting: Provide sales forecast data and other relevant reports to the management team as needed

Qualification

Required

Associate degree or equivalent experience required
Over 10 years of experience in consultative sales and customer support within the AV/IT or similar technology industry
Comprehensive knowledge of AV/IT products, design, engineering, and the industry as a whole
Proficiency in using Windows, MS Office, and customer relationship management (CRM) software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with active listening and strong persuasiveness in prospecting techniques
Ability to drive multiple concurrent opportunities through the sales cycle to closure, with a focus on high-margin leads
Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service, with the ability to perform needs analysis and site surveys effectively

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or engineering preferred
Familiarity with fire life safety or low voltage systems is a plus
