Responsibilities

Create/Maintain Standard Work for Manufacturing cells

Create/Maintain Job Safety Analysis for Manufacturing cell

Address safety concerns within our Manufacturing cell

Assists in developing justification of capital equipment

Work with engineering, project teams, factory resources and key vendors to optimize the manufacturability of products

Participate in cost-reduction activities, component evaluations, and other manufacturing initiatives to support continuous improvement

Participates on or leads improvement workshops (Kaizens)

Trains and qualifies production operators ensuring that they can perform their job safely and meet product quality and labor productivity standards

Required

Candidates MUST be located in the Altoona, PA area for this intern opportunity

This internship is in-person M-F, 40 hours a week

Currently working towards an Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering Bachelor of Science degree

Electrical background and/or strong Electrical interest (Must Have)

Strong interpersonal skills (Must Have)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Preferred

3-D printing preferred but not required

Use of SolidWorks preferred but not required
