Data Center Application Engineer
Alogent is the market leader in providing item processing and document management solutions to financial institutions. The Data Center Application Engineer will work with various internal teams to resolve application and operational issues regarding Alogent’s proprietary software in a hosted environment, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication across departments.

Responsibilities
Assists with the maintenance, support, and upgrades of existing Alogent software applications and systems within our Alogent Cloud Environment. This includes deploying the application to pre-production and production environments during scheduled maintenance windows
Works closely with the Alogent Cloud Data Center Infrastructure team to provide application deployment requirements required to properly host Alogent applications
Manages application and data access for internal implementation and support teams
Assists with coordinating and communicating upgrades, enhancements, and changes within Alogent’s cloud environment
Partners with Software Development, Infrastructure and Product teams to troubleshoot and develop enhanced processes around business-critical applications
Develops best practices for application implementations within Alogent’s Data Center
Supports Alogent Customer onboarding into the Data Center environment
Develops and documents functioning specs detailing Alogent application upgrade process
Creates/Documents application support knowledgebase and/or training articles
Identifies, documents and reports potential issues with Alogent Application Interfaces and data import/export methodologies
Performs Alogent Cloud Application testing prior to Production upgrades
Works closely with Development and Product to identify, evaluate and recommend application modifications to Alogent’s solutions
Reports and tracks any defects associated with Alogent Hosted Products to Software Development
Works Alogent Cloud internal ticketing system requests
Qualification
Required
At least 2 years of experience in a technical proprietary application support role
Provide excellent customer service under pressure
Experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems
Experience with MS SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory
Experience with .NET Applications
Experience with WCF Windows Services and IIS Applications
Experience with Monitoring tools such as Splunk and Wireshark
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and written skills
Networking knowledge – LAN/WAN/Router/Firewall a plus
Linux server experience/troubleshooting a plus
Experience supporting containerized applications a plus (Docker/Kubernetes)
Financial services IT/IS experience a plus
Platform performance monitoring / evaluation a plus
Technical degree or equivalent experience
