Responsibilities
Design and execute validation tools and processes to ensure integrated circuit products meet industry standards and perform reliably across pre- and post-silicon phases
Create, review, and execute comprehensive validation test plans on emulation platforms and prototype silicon
Develop embedded firmware and host software tools in C/C++ for low-level system validation
Write test scripts to control protocol exercisers and automate validation tools and lab equipment
Collaborate with software, FPGA emulation, and IC design teams during the validation lifecycle
Support board development efforts for validation and reference designs
Lead system-level debugging and propose innovative solutions to complex technical issues
Assist external customers with initial silicon bring-up and system integration
Communicate technical details effectively to engineering teams and train field engineers on new product features
Contribute to technical documentation including engineering notes, data sheets, and architecture manuals
Qualification
Required
Experience developing/debugging either Python OR C/C++ low level code
Solid understanding of computer architecture and system level operation/execution
Lab experience, preferably with test equipment such as logic analyzers and protocol analyzers
Understanding of basic PCB concepts including reading schematics
Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa
Preferred
Experience as a Firmware Engineer who has experience debugging hardware and wants to transition into IC validation
