Responsibilities

Gather requirements and specifications for the development of board schematics and layout

Participate in design review meetings for both schematic and layout

Together with the Systems Engineer, perform research and hardware design on new boards and electrical engineering in general

Perform detailed analysis on electronic components like power semiconductors, PCBs, and magnetics, and provide root cause analysis for electrical performance issues and system-level evaluation

Incorporate sustainability principles across the entire product lifecycle from initial concept to end-of-life with particular emphasis on product longevity and recyclability

Work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, marketing, and other engineering disciplines, to integrate sustainability goals into projects and provide technical guidance on sustainable practices

Assist with research tests and experiments that could involve handling test and measurement equipment

Create documentation for PCB and PCA release

Follow release procedures and serve as a liaison between Engineering and Production

Once PCBs and PCAs are manufactured, assist in validating the design by bringing the board up and testing components and modules against the design and specification
