Senior Director, Marketing (Campus & Experiences)

National Geographic Society is undergoing a significant renovation project at its headquarters in Washington, D.C., and they are seeking a Senior Director of Marketing to lead integrated marketing strategies for their public-facing programs. This strategic leadership role focuses on driving attendance, revenue, and audience engagement through data-informed planning and collaboration across various marketing channels.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of annual and seasonal marketing strategies for all C&E programs, ensuring brand alignment and coordinating omnichannel campaigns (paid media, web, social, email)
Lead marketing efforts to meet revenue targets for MOE admissions and ticketed experiences. Monitor KPIs and manage associated agency and media budgets
Build a strong team culture and lead the C&E Marketing team in collaboration with the NGS central marketing and brand teams
Oversee and coordinate all Museum channels (web, social, on-site assets) and collaborate with Strategic Communications to maximize earned media

Required

Bachelor's degree required
12+ years in destination, museum, live entertainment, or experiential marketing
5+ years of management experience
Strong experience developing and managing full-funnel marketing strategy
Expertise in destination-based marketing (CVBs, DMA level buying)
Experience with customer data/segmentation
Strong project/budget management skills
