The OK 138th Fighter Wing is part of the Oklahoma Air National Guard, seeking an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic (Title 32). The primary purpose of this role is to install, modify, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems on aircraft, ensuring operational readiness and safety.

Responsibilities

Install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integrated systems
Complete operational checks, inspections, tests, troubleshooting, removal and replacement of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
Maintain, modify, calibrate and inspect user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE)
Aligns, adjusts, and performs final calibrations on integrated systems
Analyze equipment failure and malfunctions and suggest changes to improve operation
Assemble, operate, and repair prototype or experimental electronic systems as assigned
Interact directly with aircrews for mission/sortie debrief and enhanced system troubleshooting
Document all discrepancies and maintenance actions performed by inputting information into electronic records information systems

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position
This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment
Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Do you possess understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the Electronic Integrated Systems Maintenance work; skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; ability to communicate clearly and effectively; skilled in duties such as, install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes; ability to format and write English in reports and presentation formats; skilled in presenting formal training presentations and briefings; skilled in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting material; skilled in training, mentoring, leading, and problem-solving?
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that prepares the applicant to perform the duties of the position. The applicant's educational-degree study program or specific academic courses may substitute for some specialized experience. An applicant must demonstrate the identified specialized experience competencies (skills, knowledge, abilities and behaviors) to qualify for a FWS 2610 position as identified by its applicable grade
Complete working knowledge of the interaction of the avionics package on the aircraft
Applies a comprehensive knowledge of the electronics systems to identify, isolate and repair malfunctions on the aircraft
Ability to use precision test equipment, test program information, technical data, schematic, signal and data flow diagrams and test procedures as well as mathematical formulas
Demonstrates an extensive practical knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic principles as well as pressurization
Working knowledge of the Technical Order system and other technical publications and directives relating to the section
Current certification in high reliability soldering techniques, as well as electrostatic discharge protective techniques
