Munro Dispatch Supervisor

The Bonneville Power Administration is seeking a Munro Dispatch Supervisor who will be responsible for planning, supervising, and leading programs, systems, and work processes within the Munro Dispatch organization. The successful candidate will oversee the work of subordinates and ensure the adequacy of contractor-performed work during transmission system emergencies.

Responsibilities

Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work
Identify developmental and training needs of employees and provide or arrange for needed development and training
Determine whether contractor-performed work meets standards of adequacy necessary for authorization of payment
Lead or participate as a technical expert in committees and working groups for resolving critical problems related to BPA Grid Operational Issues
During transmission system emergencies, exercise broad authority to arrange for purchases, hires, or loans of equipment, materials, and resources as needed

Required

You must be a United States Citizen

You will be required to report in person to the official duty location
First time supervisors will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period
This position is subject to FERC SOC non-discrimination rules and restrictions prohibiting disclosure of certain information to Transmission Function employees
The incumbent is required to complete BPA's mandatory SOC training
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service
Specialized experience is defined as experience 1) planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work; 2) arranging transmission and communication system outages for part of the transmission system to allow the construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities; 3) determining the priorities and direction of field crews in the emergency restoration of electric service
