Tax Intern - Summer 2026

Genesee & Wyoming Inc. is a growing short line railroad operator with a broad North American and UK/European footprint. The Tax Intern will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of G&W’s state income tax returns as well as special projects as necessary.

Responsibilities

Compliance – prepare various state and other miscellaneous tax returns to ensure compliance with local and state laws
Research – perform basic tax research on domestic tax issues, including state and local tax questions, and various other related issues
Handle administrative tasks such as data entry for tax returns, printing and scanning

Required
