Responsibilities

Collaborate directly with clients to define project goals and strategic objectives
Develop/strengthen client relationships
Develop high-level site and space programs, test fits, and stacking plans
Create conceptual site plans to explore building placement and circulation options
Prepare milestone schedules and conceptual budgets to support feasibility analysis
Lead the procurement of professional services (e.g., geotechnical, survey, AE, CM, furniture) through RFQs/RFPs, proposal evaluation, interviews, and recommendations
Oversee the design process to ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure coordinated and comprehensive deliverables

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in ArchitectureSiteSpace programmingBuilding design experienceProject management capabilitiesArchitectural licenseBOMA standards familiarityConstruction cost drivers knowledgeProject schedules understandingMicrosoft Office proficiencyProblem-solving capabilitiesContract development experienceAutoCAD knowledgeBIM familiarityCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or interior design from an accredited institution
Experience in site and space programming; familiarity with BOMA standards
Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and translate client needs
Effectively interact, coordinate and communicate with all levels of client management and support staff
Advise on issue resolution that aligns with stated project objectives
Proven problem-solving and project management capabilities
Working knowledge of construction cost drivers and early-stage estimating
Understanding of total project schedules and development lifecycle
5–8 years of experience in building design and construction as a project manager and/or architect/planner
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and/or Primavera Scheduling Software; basic knowledge of AutoCAD, familiarity with BIM
Qualified individuals must either reside in or near Metro Detroit or be willing to relocate for this opportunity
Frequent travel throughout the region, with approximately 20% overnight travel

Preferred

Architectural license preferred but not required
Experience with contract development is a plus
