Has a good working knowledge of schematics and works independently on repairs, safety testing and preventive maintenance (PM)
Maintains records, writes reports, and coordinates outside repairs
Participates in other hospital committees and teams as appropriate
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree in Electronics or related field
One (1) year of experience in biomedical repair in a healthcare setting, OR three (3) years' experience in biomedical service
Valid driver's license at time of appointment and for continued employment
Three (3) years' experience in biomedical repair in a healthcare setting, OR six (6) years' experience in biomedical service for Biomed Technician 2
Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis
Preferred
CBET certification preferred but not required
