Responsibilities

Operates a variety of survey equipment as the job demands and works on multiple jobs

Assists in determining elevations and laying out stakes; marks points of measurement with required data; assists in measuring between points; places stakes at designated points and specified elevations

Operates all survey equipment including Total Station, GPS Data collector, and Auto Levels

Able to follow detailed instructions and pay close attention to detail

Able to read construction drawings and specifications

Willing to learn new concepts and adopt to new technologies

Required

Educational requirements include High School diploma or GED

2+ years experience related to new construction surveying

Proficient in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry

Proficient communication skills including verbal and written, interpersonal and organizational

Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff with strong customer service orientation

Ability to commit to the company values

Ability to collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Ability to travel as required which may include out of town travel

Must have a valid driver's license

Must have a dependable vehicle with up-to-date inspection sticker to perform work related duties

Preferred

Current surveyor license is preferred
