Administrative Intern (Safety)
The State of Missouri is seeking an Administrative Intern (Safety) to provide entry-level professional support for safety programs and processes. Responsibilities
Coordinates the department's safety and occupational health programs
Identifies and assesses risks, exposures, and hazards through development and management of control strategies for department operations
Measures, evaluates, audits, and continually improves the effectiveness of hazard controls and control programs
Conducts safety training, performs ergonomic assessments, and organizes industrial hygiene testing; may coordinate workplace security programs, including training
Investigates workplace incidents involving department employees to determine cause and make preventative recommendations; may assess and review workplace locations for security risks
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a relevant bachelor's or post-bachelor's degree program full-time (12+ credit hours)
30 credit hours completed/accepted toward current degree program. High school or other postsecondary program credits must be shown to be accepted by the current program through a degree transcript to apply
Possess and maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent
