The State of Missouri is seeking a Technical Intern in Roadside Management. This role involves performing semi-skilled technical duties in managing the roadway maintenance program, including planting and maintaining gardens along highways under supervision.

Responsibilities

Plants, fertilizes, and maintains flowers, trees, and shrubs at the highway gardens

Performs general maintenance on exhibit buildings and surrounding area such as painting, litter removal, and minor repairs

Mows and weeds highway gardens

Performs routine maintenance to lawn mowers and related equipment used at the highway gardens

Works flexible hours during the Missouri State Fair helping run the highway gardens display

Required

Enrolled in a relevant 2-year/associate's degree program full-time (12+ credit hours)

30 credit hours completed/accepted toward current degree program. High school or other postsecondary program credits must be shown to be accepted by the current program through a degree transcript to apply

Possess and maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent
