Responsibilities
Leverages Hardware knowledge to architect, design, develop, modify, and evaluate critical electronic systems, components, and PCB layout for retail and industrial electronic equipment
Collaborates with internal or 3rd party manufacturing POCs to fabricate hardware, leads verification of systems or designs, and ensures platform meets requirements
Guides internal or 3rd party engineering teams on appropriate design methodologies to implement system per required specifications
Conducts detailed reviews and analysis of designs to ensure implementation meets appropriate power, performance, area, compliance, and cost
Coordinates or conducts specialized analyses (e.g., feasibility studies, signal integrity, power integrity, etc.) to verify design performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience
OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience
OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience
Preferred
Master's Degree in Engineering or related field
8+ years of experience with hardware system design, system integration, schematic capture, and circuit simulation software
4+ years of experience with hardware system validation and measurement instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools)
2+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization
1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports
