Responsibilities

Respond to operational support requests in a 24/5 environment, meeting SLAs and prioritizing work across internal customers and cross-functional teams

Troubleshoot and support Linux-based hardware systems using terminal-based tools, addressing issues that require investigation beyond existing documentation

Identify recurring operational issues and work with engineering teams to stabilize and operationalize support workflows

Create, update, and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and internal documentation based on real-world support findings

Develop and maintain lightweight scripts or simple automation to reduce manual tasks and improve operational consistency

Support the transition of operational workloads from engineering teams into the Hardware Fleet Operations team

Qualification

Linux troubleshootingBasic scriptingIT support fundamentalsTicketing systemsCommunication skills

Required

Linux terminal-based troubleshooting

Basic scripting or automation (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar)

IT support fundamentals, including systems and basic networking concepts (Network+ level or equivalent)

2-3 years of hands-on experience supporting or troubleshooting Linux-based systems

Prior experience in a technical support, operations, or IT service delivery role

Comfortable in working primarily in Linux terminal environments

Experience following and improving runbooks, documentation, and operational processes

Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira or ServiceNow in an operations context

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document issues and solutions for technical and non-technical audiences
