The core services team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer proficient in Golang to design, build, and maintain microservices that utilize machine learning and optimization techniques for logistics solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain software for our Golang-based microservices
Work in an iterative, data-driven environment that favors experimentation and feedback
Productionize and apply machine learning models to solve unstructured business problems
Research, implement, and integrate domain-relevant algorithms
Collaborate with a team of smart, friendly engineers to develop impactful solutions unique to logistics

Required

7+ years of experience building production-grade backend systems with Go, Python, Java, C, C++, Ruby or comparable language. Go is heavily preferred
A strong understanding of CS fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and time vs space tradeoff
Experience building cloud-native microservices and distributed systems
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of ownership

Preferred

Familiarity with machine learning and/or mathematical optimization is a plus
Familiarity with logistics (route planning, ride sharing, risk profiling) is a plus
