Research Associate
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is inviting applications for a full-time, grant-funded Research Associate position in the Department of Natural Sciences. The role involves developing ecological numerical modeling programs and conducting various observations in the Maryland Coastal Bays, as well as supervising graduate and undergraduate students.

Responsibilities
Work to develop a program in ecological numerical modeling
Conduct the ADCP, Wave and Water Quality observations in the Maryland Coastal Bays
Run the Finite Volume Coastal Ocean Modeling and Ce-Qual-ICM Water Quality Modeling
Co-supervise graduate students and undergraduate students
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Oceanography or Marine Sciences. ABD will be considered with an expected completion before appointment date
Experience in oceanography observational skill
Experience in ecological/water quality numerical modeling experiences
Preferred
Experience in running numerical ocean model (FVCOM, CE QUAL-ICM)
Experience of supervising undergraduate students
