Responsibilities

As part of the Sentinel AVE Loads & Environments team, your technical expertise and analytical prowess will play a vital role in shock and vibration environment prediction, as well as comprehensive testing and data evaluation
This position invites a forward-thinking professional who is eager to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions that advance the future of structural dynamics for the Sentinel Program

Required

Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant technical field
Engineer Structural: 2 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 2 Years with Masters
Principal Engineer Structural: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment
Experience in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation
Experience with finite element method or finite difference method thermal analysis software (Thermal Desktop, Ansys, etc)
Experience in the thermal analysis of aerospace systems
Basic knowledge of Heat Transfer methods and principles
Experience modeling with commercial finite element modeling software (Femap/Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, etc)
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Preferred

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college/university
Experience working strategic or tactical missile programs or spacecraft
Experience with high performance computing, management of large sets of data
Experience with Thermal Desktop
Experience with Integrated System Level Thermal Models and/or Component/Unit Level Thermal Models
Experience Correlating Thermal Models to Test Data
Experience using HERO (Heat Transfer and Erosion Analysis Program)
Experience working with SMC-S-016, RCC-319, or similar compliance documents
DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
