Responsibilities

Develop, support, and administer KDB+ systems for a banking client

Utilize deep expertise in Q language, data structures, and array-oriented programming

Manage KDB+ databases, including storage, management, and querying of large-scale datasets (petabyte scale, 500+ users)

Optimize KDB+ system performance and apply best practices for efficiency

Administer standard KDB architecture components (tickerplant, rdb, hdb, gateways, chained processes)

Integrate KDB+ with real-time messaging systems (e.g., Solace, ION, Kafka)

Process and analyze real-time market data feeds using advanced data processing techniques

Leverage strong knowledge of financial markets, especially Fixed Income, FX, and Equities

Implement DevOps practices for automation of build, test, and deployment processes

Monitor and ensure the health and performance of KDB+ systems using tools such as ITRS

Collaborate with NYC-based teams in a hybrid work environment
