Start in 2026 SummerMEMX is seeking a Market Operations Intern to support the daily operations of their U.S. equities and options exchange. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment where you’ll learn how trading systems are monitored and client requests are managed.

Responsibilities
Support the Market Operations team in monitoring trading activity and system health in real time
Help triage and log support tickets for member requests and inquiries
Assist in gathering and analyzing operational data to identify trends or potential issues
Participate in projects focused on improving internal workflows and risk monitoring
Collaborate with internal teams to document and communicate operational updates
Qualification
Required
Current undergraduate student (junior or senior) pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance or a related field
Strong interest in financial markets and how trading exchanges operate
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn new concepts
Preferred
Analytics mindset with basic familiarity in Excel, SQL, Python, or other data tools
Preference for candidates who live in the NYC/NJ area
