The Postdoctoral Fellow will design, prototype, validate single-cell and single-nucleus multiomic assays while collaborating with scientists to translate biological requirements into engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, prototype, validate single-cell and single-nucleus multiomic assays (chemistries, barcoding schemes, capture strategies, devices, etc.)

Benchmark methods for throughput, sensitivity, cost and reproducibility

Build process documentation, SOPs, and training materials

Collaborate with scientists to align specs with biological requirements and translate needs into engineering solutions

Contribute to manuscripts, methods, and presentations

Required

PhD degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or a related field

Demonstrated experience developing technologies to solve biological or medical challenges, from initial concept through final implementation and troubleshooting

1 year hands-on experience in one or more: assay/biochemistry development, microfluidics, or surface/polymer chemistry

Evidence of independent problem-solving, rigorous experimental design and driving projects to completion

Clear, professional communication and a collaborative mindset
