Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on fire trucks and emergency vehicles
Conduct thorough inspections and testing of firefighting equipment and systems
Collaborate with team members and provide technical support and guidance as necessary

Qualification

Fire truck technician experienceMechanical systems knowledgeElectrical systems knowledgeHydraulic systems knowledgeTechnical manuals interpretationProblem-solving skillsCommunication skillsFire apparatus maintenance certificationCDLCommercial truck repair experienceDiesel technician experienceFire truck repair experience

Required

Proven experience as a fire truck technician or similar role
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Minimum 5 years' experience as a diesel tech
Experience with fire truck repair is a giant plus

Preferred

Certification or training in fire apparatus maintenance and repair is a plus
CDL - preferred
Prior experience with commercial truck repair
