Responsibilities

Performs an independent research project studying animal genetics, neurobiology, and behavior
Responsible for organizing and maintaining our mouse colony consisting of over 100 cages, leads and assists in mouse tissue collection and processing
Oversees, manages, and trains personnel in the lab to ensure tasks are performed in a timely and precise manner
Manages ordering, inventory, and equipment upkeep for the lab

Qualification

Biology degreeLaboratory experienceBiochemistry knowledgeMolecular biology expertiseMouse handlingExperiment planningStatistical analysisTeam management

Required

BA, BS, or Master's degree in biology or related field
Candidates should have at least one year of experience working in a lab full-time
Knowledge and expertise in biochemistry and molecular biology, including methods and protocols
Experience with handling mice and managing a mouse colony
Ability to plan, execute, and analyze the results of an experiment, including statistical reports and quantification
