Network Engineer/ DIADS / Integration / J-NEEO / Nellis AFB
Lockheed Martin is a global leader in aerospace, defense, and technology solutions, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation. They are seeking a Digital Integrated Air Defense System (DIADS) Network Engineer to develop, integrate, and operate DIADS and associated capabilities. The role involves integrating DIADS within the Joint Simulation Environment to represent and operate threat surface-to-air missiles and Integrated Air Defense Systems in a modeling and simulation environment.

Responsibilities
Manipulate the DIADS program to support JSE missions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance
Create and maintain models of DIADS in scenario and JTB environments, ensuring accuracy and relevance to mission requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to DIADS program manipulation
Develop and maintain documentation of DIADS program modifications and updates
Designs and plans network communications systems
Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture
Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
Conducts testing of network design
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc
Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
Qualification
Required
A current active Top Secret Level Clearance with an investigation completed within the last 5 years is required
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret/SCI and relevant SAP/SAR Clearance
Security + Certification
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Fundamental understanding of military surface to air missile systems
Understanding of Air Force terminology to implement/emulate realistic red forces for test and training
Ability to perform tasks that require prolonged computer use, occasional lifting and movement of equipment, and fine motor skills with hand-eye coordination
Strong programming background in C++ and experience with Linux operating systems, including Red Hat
Familiarity with modeling and simulation techniques, particularly in scenario and JTB environments
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred
Previous or active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Advanced understanding of military surface to air missile systems
Experience with Digital Integrated Air Defense System (DIADS) Software
Military experience with aviation and combat systems
Advanced aircraft simulator experience and scenario development
Experience with Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) and familiarity with its software components (NGTS, WSCE, DIADS, EAAGLES, GRID, Shot Log, ART, and SCE)
Certifications: Linux+, CompTIA+, and Security+
Experience with DIADS program manipulation and JSE missions
Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
Strong understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
