Responsibilities

Development and implementation of strategic product engineering initiatives aligned with overall business objectives
Drive innovation in product design and development, exploring and implementing advanced technologies and methodologies
Work on complex problem solving initiatives, utilizing advanced analytical techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
Lead cross-functional teams for large scale product development projects, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments
Develop and implement best practices and standards for product engineering, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement
Mentor and coach a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and development
Contribute to the development of long-term product strategy, providing expert insights and recommendations
Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation
Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment
Performs other duties within scope as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or in a similar field of study
Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience in leading or supporting new product design, development, and launch through a structured introduction process OR 4 years of experience in leading or supporting new product design, development, and launch through a structured introduction process if no post-secondary education
5 years of experience in engineering, design, and development of Architectural Products with Bachelor's Degree OR 3 years of experience in engineering, design, and development of Architectural Products with Master's Degree
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, anywhere in the United States
Military Equivalency at www.mynextmove.org/vets/find/military
Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance
Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position

Preferred

Bachelors degree or higher
Ability to lead assigned resources effectively
Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
10 or more years of product design and development experience, specifically with architectural products and/or door systems (sliding doors, pivot doors, wood doors, glass doors)
Excellent organization and project management skills
Experience working with multiple architectural systems like walls systems or building construction
Experience with CAD, preferably Creo
Exhibits the ability to work well with diverse teams
Proven ability to organize, track, and document project deliverables effectively
