Responsibilities

Lead technical project integration and manage execution of technical scope while balancing a high degree of autonomy and mission responsibility with tactical and strategic cross-functional coordination across program and product management, industry and government customers
Develop and maintain web application front-ends (React, Streamlit, or equivalent) with responsive UI/UX
Build and integrate back-end systems (FastAPI, Node.js, SQL/NoSQL) to manage secure data pipelines
Implement DevSecOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, SBOM (SPDX/CycloneDX), vulnerability scanning (e.g., Trivy)
Design and manage deployments in cloud (AWS/Azure/Oracle/bare metal) and edge environments (avionics systems, on-vehicle mobile networks, distributed IoT compute and backhaul networking, Starlink, etc.), including Docker/Kubernetes orchestration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance, compliance, and mission-driven requirements
Contribute to architectures and verification/validations of cyber-physical systems in SWaP-constrained environments (e.g., avionics, IoT, edge-deployed systems)

Required

U.S. citizen with the ability and willingness to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (Secret or higher)
Proficiency in Python, Node.js, React, SQL databases, pub/sub, endpoint integration, and API design
Experience with AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and Apache Airflow
Strong knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-171/53, RMF)
Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and applied data visualization tools
UI/UX design experience with Figma or equivalent; ability to translate wireframes into high-quality implementations
Managed code-repos and management processes (e.g., Gitlab, Agile Ceremonies, and similar) including aerospace and defense industry standard methods such as Earned Value Management (EVM) and Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT)
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication in English
Bachelors degree in engineering, data science, or closely related STEM field; advanced degree or equivalent practical experience preferred
7+ years (10+ preferred) industry working experience
This position may include 10-20% travel dependent on program design and customer needs

Preferred

Knowledge of aerospace standards and cyber-physical system constraints
Background or interest in aerospace, aviation, or applied physics domains is preferred (e.g., RF systems, mission systems, advanced production and maintenance systems, flight engineering, and similar)
Experience at an aerospace & defense company (Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Palantir, Anduril, etc.) is a plus
Prior military service is a plus
Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience preferred
