Heathcare CyberSecurity Visiting Professor

They are seeking a Healthcare CyberSecurity Visiting Professor to facilitate student learning through teaching courses and developing course materials, while engaging with students in a blended learning environment.

Responsibilities
Develops and provides students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives
Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials
Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students
Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning
Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories
Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives
Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students
Completes other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in cybersecurity, health informatics, or healthcare-related field
All Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent
Current certification required in one of the following: CHPS, HCISPP, or CISSP-HC
Minimum 5 years' experience securing healthcare IT systems including EHR platforms, medical devices, and clinical networks
Demonstrated expertise in HIPAA or HITECH security implementation, risk assessments, and breach response
Working knowledge of healthcare operations, insurance processes, and privacy regulations
Experience with security tools used in healthcare environments (SIEM, DLP, encryption technologies)
This role requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings
Faculty must also have excellent motivational, communication, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment
Must be able to work in a collegial manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups
Preferred
Experience responding to ransomware incidents in clinical settings
Background conducting security audits for meaningful use or HITRUST certification
Previous teaching or training delivery experience
