Payroll Tax Analyst

They are seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst to ensure the organization’s federal, state, and local payroll tax obligations are met accurately and on time across multiple jurisdictions, while also identifying and implementing process improvements for compliance and accuracy.

Responsibilities
Ensures the organization’s federal, state, and local payroll tax obligations are met accurately and on time across multiple jurisdictions
Plays a key role in audit preparedness, reconciliation, and tax agency communication
Identifies and implements process improvements that drive compliance and accuracy
Supports year-end activities, including W-2 and W-2C processing, to ensure clean reporting and filings
Partners closely with internal teams and technology platforms to maintain tax compliance and operational excellence
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
3+ years of payroll tax experience in a multi-state environment
Proficiency in ADP and Oracle systems (required)
In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and filing requirements
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
Proven ability to manage agency inquiries and resolve tax discrepancies efficiently
Preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
