Manager, Market Intelligence
Consumer Technology Association is seeking a Manager for Market Intelligence to support their industry intelligence efforts. The role involves collecting, organizing, analyzing data sets, and managing the production of industry forecasts while engaging with member companies to gather intelligence.

Responsibilities
Manage CTA’s semi-annual industry forecasts including industry outreach, data collection, processing, and production of reports. Coordinate with Marketing in forecast participation outreach and promotion of forecast products
Analyze qualitative research, sales statistics and forecasts for current and emerging technologies to create in-depth reports, white papers, forecasts, newsletters, editorial pieces, presentations and other deliverables as assigned
Contribute to research product development by leveraging data analysis and visualization skills
Create new industry forecasts for emerging product/service categories
Engage with CTA member companies and other sources to collect industry intelligence through data reports, interviews, surveys and researching secondary sources to support CTA’s industry data analysis
Extract, transform and analyze business and market data using SQL, R studio, MS Excel and other BI tools to answer CTA business questions
Develop data visualizations in Power BI and other tools to contribute to reports and other deliverables for CTA and industry
Assist in reviewing and developing CTA thematic stock indexes and present thematic research to staff and ETF partners
Liaise with CTA’s Data Team in conducting advanced statistical analysis for market research and other CTA departments to discover market and organizational trends
Provide support for strategic research projects when necessary, including project management, analysis and presentations
Liaise with communications staff in maintaining press contacts and coordinating messages relating to assigned product categories
Participate and lead technology discussions on emerging trends and demonstrate thought leadership through public speaking and media engagement opportunities
Qualification
Required
3-5 years in data or market analysis with demonstrable experience in communicating data discoveries in writing
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, market research or related discipline required
Strong experience in organizing data sets from various sources
Experienced with collecting, cleaning, transforming and loading data into databases
Experience with relational databases, including querying with SQL
Advanced analytics skills in MS Excel and R-studio
Knowledgeable in data visualization tools such as Power BI
Familiar with U.S. government data sets such as Census, BLS, Retail Sales, Manufacturing, etc
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Keen interest in technology as someone who uses and follows technology
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under tight deadlines
Track record of working successfully both independently and with a team
Highly motivated self-starter with evidence of intellectual curiosity and creativity
