Hose Technician I

New York Air Brake is seeking a Hose Technician I to perform semi-skilled assembly of various pneumatic and mechanical valves. The role involves following detailed instructions, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality and safety compliance while working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
Ability to troubleshoot and repair failures as needed
Report problems with quality, safety, process, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor
Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed
Support extrusion and calendar; operate mill, bias machine, wrapper, autoclave, pulldown machine and saw; assembly of hose tube, cover, and friction; assembly, fit, test (M601 & M618 hose); and final inspection
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Assist and train others as needed
Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies
Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations
Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions
Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree
Be a team player and engage with others
