Assistant/Associate Professor in the Robert C. Vackar College of Business & Entrepreneurship/Department of Marketing
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing to teach in their undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate will engage in scholarly research and contribute to service-related activities within the department.

Teach in the Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship’s undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs in marketing
Conduct scholarly research
Engage in service-related activities
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related field from an accredited institution (ABDs will be considered, but a Ph.D. is required no later than the proposed start date)
Demonstrated potential for high-quality research and effective teaching
Desire to work collegially with faculty and students from diverse cultural backgrounds
Current tenured appointment at a comparable institution of higher education (for Associate Professor)
Demonstrated record of research and teaching excellence (for Associate Professor)
Texas law requires faculty members whose primary language is not English to demonstrate proficiency in English as determined by a satisfactory paper-based test score of 500 (computer-based of 173 or internet-based of 61) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a satisfactory test score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
