QA Technician II - 2nd Shift
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is a global leader in the design and production of munitions and related systems. The QA Technician II will be responsible for evaluating and improving the quality of products and processes, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Manufacturing
Responsibilities
Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations
Follows and/ or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, etc
Define and specify activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products
Build and maintain the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products
Identifies and addresses any issues with equipment performance
Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards
Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods
Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards
Qualification
Required
Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
Works with close supervision
Performs manual tasks according to established procedures

Build and maintain the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products
Identifies and addresses any issues with equipment performance
Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards
Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods
Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
May need to stand for long periods of time
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery
May be requested to work a different shift
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required
